Resonate 2020 Conference
The NLMSIC is pleased to be offering a wide variety of topics for Resonate 2020, which will be held online using a combination of live and pre-recorded sessions. The sessions include presenters from across the country covering a wide variety of music education areas. You must be a registered member of the NLMSIC and in good standing in order to register. There will be no conference registration fee this year.

The conference is being held on October 30th, 2020, using Google Meet. Please see below for the tentative conference schedule. We will share specific information about topics, sessions, and presenters ASAP!

Heather MacDonald Memorial Scholarship

Here's a note from Eastern MSIC President Amanda Dawe-Ledwell:

Calling all Interns and Teachers with Interns! The Eastern Division of the MSIC is now accepting applications for the Heather MacDonald Scholarship. The intent of this scholarship is to recognize the future of music education in Newfoundland and Labrador by offering financial assistance to an outstanding music education intern. The scholarship has a cash value of $500.00. The application is attached.

MSIC Professional Development Travel Fund

The MSIC Professional Development Travel fund is to assist members who are travelling to conferences and/or professional development opportunities over 250km from their residence. This grant can be combined with other travel grants such as those from the NLTA.

To be eligible for funding applicants must be an active member of the NLTA MSIC. All projects must focus on the professional development of educators.
